Certified Athletic Trainer - Puyallup

About the role
The Certified Athletic Trainer will provide comprehensive athletic training services for Puyallup High School and the Puyallup East Main clinic, including:
- Attending games and practices, including travel to away games, community events, state championships, and signature events (e.g., Tacoma City Marathon, Sound to Narrows, Hoopfest)
- Providing training room treatment for injuries and developing preventive programs to minimize sports-related injuries
- Managing emergencies involving student-athlete injuries
- Communicating injuries and treatment plans to coaches, athletes, parents, and team physicians
- Completing thorough and accurate athletic injury evaluations, providing first aid, and delivering immediate care for acute injuries
- Assessing, developing, implementing, and overseeing rehabilitation and return-to-play programs, including concussion screening
This high school-based role requires collaboration with school administrators, coaches, team physicians, athletes, and parents. Athletic Trainers are given significant independence to represent the OSS brand while receiving direct support from an all-athletic-trainer management team. OSS is locally owned and operated, with 21 locations and an affiliation with MultiCare, offering unparalleled sports medicine and orthopedic expertise.
Requirements
- Degree in athletic training
- Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Licensed in Washington State
