About the Role
Provide athletic training services for local high school sports programs on a PRN basis.
Responsibilities
- Offer medical coverage for games, practices, and tournaments
- Evaluate and treat injuries
- Assist with injury prevention, rehabilitation, and safe return-to-play decisions
- Communicate injury status to athletes, families, coaches, and physicians
- Coordinate coverage with school staff
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Provide education on injury prevention and health safety
- Support community outreach activities
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training
- Current BOC certification
- Illinois licensure or eligibility
- CPR/AED certification
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, injury assessment, and rehabilitation techniques
- One to two years of experience preferred
Skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Schedule
Availability for evenings, weekends, and athletic events.
Pay
$40–$50/hour, with evening differential.
