About the role
We are seeking a service-oriented, team-player Certified Athletic Trainer for our Ames office to collaborate with physicians and optimize patient and client activity in athletic, work, and life settings. The role involves the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emergent, acute, subacute, and chronic neuromusculoskeletal conditions, with the goal of minimizing impairments, functional limitations, disability, and societal limitations—all aligned with McFarland Clinic’s Core Values and Promise.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize patient and client activity in athletic, work, and life contexts.
- Assist in the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of neuromusculoskeletal conditions (emergent, acute, subacute, and chronic).
- Minimize subsequent impairments, functional limitations, disability, and societal limitations.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program.
- State licensure from the Board of Certification.
- Previous experience preferred but not required.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks.
