Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Certified Application Counselor to join our team in Spring Valley, NY.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required New York State Certified Application Counselor training and pass certification exams.
• Comply with all continuing education and recertification requirements.
• Provide courteous, professional and confidential assistance to all consumers seeking healthcare access and information.
• Serve as a resource for consumers seeking to understand the Marketplace, health insurance and healthcare options.
• Builds relationships with external partners.
• Conduct marketing and outreach within local communities about health insurance options through the Health Insurance Marketplace as well as promote the availability of healthcare service.
• Achieves performance expectations set by management for visit volume at health center locations.
• Comply with SRH policy on confidential information in addition to any applicable laws governing the confidentiality of enrollee financial information, social security numbers, personally identifiable information and health information, including Medicaid data.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required.
• 2 years of customer service and engagement experience.
