Certified Addiction Counselor
Requirements
A Master's degree in human services or a related field.
2 to 3 years of experience working with individuals with co-occurring substance abuse/mental health disorders required. Alternatively, 2 to 3 years of experience working with such individuals is preferred.
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) certification is required.
Qualifications
Experience collaborating with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and ACT team members to support integrated treatment planning.
Experience providing ongoing counseling, education, and clinical support to individuals and families, including psychoeducation on substance use disorders, participation in treatment planning, and assistance with linking to community resources and services.
Experience delivering community-based ACT services, including home visits and field-based support, while contributing to clinical documentation, staff meetings, and, when needed, court-related reports or testimony.
