Certified 508 Trusted Tester
The Role and Responsibilities
Perform various methods of manual testing on eLearning courses and training-related deliverables and reports.
Perform compatibility testing, performance testing, and accessibility testing.
Perform compliance testing (including SCORM and Section 508).
Document and report errors.
Work with team members on identifying and correcting accessibility issues, and verify the resolution of the issues.
Manage working on multiple projects at the same time.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive solutions that are within sphere of influence.
Match product to specifications.
Provide consultation on accessibility policies and ensure compliance with all mandatory government accessibility standards.
Use various tools such as JAWS, JAWS Inspect, NVDA, ANDI, HTML5, CSS etc.
Requirements
Current DHS Trusted Tester Certification
- A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant experience as a 508 Trusted Tester
- OR In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years experience as a 508 Trusted Tester.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Ability to perform job requirements independently, with a group and remotely.
A minimum of three (3) years experience and knowledge of federal regulations and DOD policy.
