Certification Coach
About the role
Forestdale is a NYC child welfare agency working to prevent child abuse/neglect through parenting, prevention, and foster care services, focusing on low-income and immigrant communities in NYC. Forestdale operates out of three offices to better serve the families of Brooklyn and Queens. We help thousands of families work through complex trauma, parents raise the next amazing generation of children, and youth successfully launch into adulthood. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure that children and families have the fundamental assets they need to thrive and live independently.
The Certification Coach is responsible for working with current and prospective foster parents to assist them in navigating the certification and the recertification process to maintain their license. The certification coach works hand in hand with the prospective foster parents to ensure that all required documents meet the standard of OCFS and ACS regulations. Additionally, the Engagement Specialist works with current foster parents by providing consistent support, and ongoing communication and problem solving.
