About the Role
Responsible for the delivery of age-appropriate professional nursing services through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and coordinates all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s Mission and Vision.
Utilizes knowledge of patient’s age, cultural diversity, cardiac pathophysiology, and cardiovascular disease processes in the provision of care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate professional nursing services using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
- Direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes.
- Provide care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, considering patient’s age, cultural diversity, and cardiac pathophysiology.
- Contribute to quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
Requirements
- Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Current CPR training.
- Cardiac-Vascular Nursing (RN-BC) or Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) certification.
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of being in the department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Cath Lab.

- Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
