About the Role
L&M Carpet One holds their installations to the highest standards, striving to surpass customer expectations. As a floor-covering installer, you will work with all types of carpet and tile products for remodels and new construction projects, including wall-to-wall carpet, stair runners, floor, wall, and shower tile installations. The company provides continued training, a company van, tools, and more. Several installers have been part of the team for over 40 years, reflecting strong team retention.
Responsibilities
- Complete all aspects of floor-covering projects for tile installations, including demolition, sub-floor preparation, flooring installation, backsplash installation, shower installation, trim work, and more.
- Interact with customers on the job site, representing L&M in a professional manner.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in all client interactions while ensuring excellent service through job completion.
- Attend L&M Carpet One and vendor-provided training.
- Problem-solve issues that may arise in the field to maintain workflow and timely completion.
- Communicate effectively with the installation manager, providing updates on project completion and unexpected job-site situations.
- Maintain the company-provided van, tools, and work environment as if they were your own.
Requirements
- Take pride in your work.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Three years of construction experience is preferred.
- Ability to safely use various tools required for project completion.
- Knowledge of general construction.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage time to complete projects by projected deadlines.
- Ability to read and understand layouts and blueprints.
- Ability to provide references.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug testing.
