About the Role

The Kennett Board of Public Works (KBPW) is accepting applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This position is responsible for leading and managing all utility operations, strategic planning, financial resources, engineering programs, public relations, and organizational leadership for the utility system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) with appropriate industry experience
  • Proven experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments
  • Experienced negotiator with contracts
  • Ability to maintain good public relation practices and an appropriate professional image
  • Ability to develop high performance teams and be a strong team player
  • Commitment to company values
  • Conflict resolution and/or mediation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others and motivate people
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Valid Driver's License

Working Environment

  • Subject to being on call twenty-four hours a day in case of emergencies
  • Must be able to traverse job site terrain with or without accommodation
