The Server Assistant role provides quality service that exceeds guest and member expectations. Works to create guests for life by proactively embracing service standards, adhering to safety regulations, and gaining knowledge to assist guests with all needs.

Responsibilities

• Proper restaurant and pool setup (both back-of-house and front-of-house)
• Familiarity with menus and beverage offerings
• Running food, bussing tables, polishing glassware, resetting tables
• Maintaining ice supply and stocking necessary items
• Cleaning the pool deck, cabanas, and pool bars
• Stocking clean towel stations and transporting dirty towels to housekeeping
• Awareness of all safety precautions and procedures to ensure a safe atmosphere for guests and employees
• Proper expo setup to ensure all products are fresh and of quality
• Transporting necessary food items from the kitchen to the correct location
• Pouring and refilling water
• Proper use of a mop or broom when needed
• Taking out trash
• Opening and moving umbrellas upon request
• Assisting in moving tables and pool chairs
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Maintaining a clean working area
• Assisting with tasks assigned by the manager

Requirements

• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours during a shift
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to carry a tray
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds

Working Environment

• Interior of the hotel, in all areas
• Exterior of the hotel with exposure to weather conditions, including extreme heat
• Exposure to various hazardous chemicals
• Exposure to food items and beverages
