About the role

The Centrifuge Operator oversees all STF/2-phase centrifuge services at a fixed STF facility per regulations and relevant WaterBridge policies and procedures. Primary Duties & Responsibilities, Qualifications & Requirements, and Benefits sections contain specific details about the job.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interacting with customers in a courteous and respectful manner to ensure that customer relationships are maintained.
  • Troubleshooting equipment, preparing daily reporting, performing on-the-job maintenance, and ordering equipment and supplies.
  • Leading the day-to-day operations of a fixed STF facility, including processing with 2-phase centrifuges, monitoring tank levels, monitoring receiving capacity in pits, and working with facility operators regarding the types of fluids being brought to the STF facility.
  • Operating a 2-phase centrifuge. Setting appropriate pump speed according to thickness.
  • Dispatching wastewater to appropriate holding tanks.
  • Gauging holding tank levels before processing.
  • Operating forklifts as needed.
  • Operating recovery vacuum trucks and transferring oil to designated holding tanks.
  • Supervising operators during service delivery.
  • Training and/or mentoring of new employees.
  • Aiding and/or directing the daily work of other operators.
  • Guiding team members and ensuring they follow proper safety and work procedures.
  • Leading a 10-15 minute tailgate meeting with all team members at the beginning of work shifts.
  • Attending all required safety meetings and conducting all business activities in accordance with health and safety policies and legal compliance requirements.
  • Cleaning the facility, keeping up with hourly and daily shift reports, coordinating oil pickup and solids pickup, doing jsa’s and safety observations, doing facility inspections, directing facility operators on blends of incoming trucks.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with STF 2-Phase Centrifuge services is required. 1 year lead or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Live in Orla, TX, or within a 60-mile radius from Orla, TX, required.
