Role Overview
Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients, ensuring effective communication across care settings. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors. Maintains safety awareness as a safety-sensitive position, requiring alertness and safe work practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree in Nursing (RN)
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 2+ years of experience
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Key Duties
- Monitor patient heart rhythms and communicate changes to nursing staff
- Call emergency codes for lethal rhythms to ensure patient safety
- Participate in professional growth and adhere to safety protocols
