Responsibilities

  • Audits all incoming exam orders
  • Triages telephone calls
  • Requests medical records pertaining to the requested exam
  • Schedules exams within the Radiology department, including Diagnostic Imaging locations and services
  • Provides instructions and information to physicians, patients, OMC internal departments, and ancillary clinics
  • Verifies that the exam being requested is appropriate for the diagnosis code identified
  • Verifies insurance coverage
  • Works with the internal referral team and with outside providers to obtain authorizations for services

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent, medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy preferred
  • Centralized Scheduling Representative I: Minimum two years of office/reception experience, required preferably in a health care setting. Prior work experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding, third-party payers, pre-authorization
  • Centralized Scheduling Representative II: All requirements of the Centralized Scheduling Representative I position. 3 years’ experience as a Centralized Scheduling Representative I with OMC or equivalent experience as determined by OMC

Fte 100% WORK SHIFT Days Pay Range $21.45 - $29.64 Union UFCW 3000-Support Services Shift Differentials/Premiums Weekend & Holiday Shifts: No On Call Shifts: No Shift Differentials Evening - $3.00/hour Night - $5.00/hour Weekend - $4.50/hour Premiums Standby - $3.50/hour Lead - $3.25/hour Per Diem - 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits)
