CENTRALIZED PRE-ANESTHESIA TESTING - ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER

Responsibilities

• Aids in unit assessments, staff skill proficiency, and competency evaluations.
• Safeguards equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness, safety, and appropriate utilization.
• Maintains oversight of daily unit operations to facilitate safe, efficient patient care.
• Supports patient satisfaction initiatives and service excellence efforts.
• Coordinates and schedules staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and workload balance.
• Assists with personnel processes, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and corrective or disciplinary actions.
• Provides support, coaching, and guidance to staff to promote professional development and accountability.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of performance improvement plans.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Collaborates with all departments as an active member of the management and leadership team to ensure coordinated care and operational alignment.
• Assists the Nurse Manager in making timely decisions and supporting change initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital or acute care setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and team members.
• Ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
• Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
• Proficiency in CPR.
• BLS Certification.
• NICU Stroke Certification (within 6 months of hire).
• ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire).

Pay

Entry USD $87,448.00/Yr. Max USD $143,624.00/Yr.
