About the role
The Central Supply Technician is responsible for counting, filling all PAR areas, and filling any department requisitions. This non-clinical position requires skills and experience in inventory management and supports the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
Responsibilities
- Pulls pars, stocks par areas, rotates supplies, validates expiration dates, and updates inventory in the computer system while restocking par areas.
- Follows proper procedures in delivery of products (covering bins with plastic, keeping all cardboard out of the facility).
- Dusts and wipes out bins in PAR areas within the facility.
- Stocks incoming freight in the General store area and Afterhours location.
- Replenishes various carts that are returned to the Central area after patient use.
- Assists in unloading trucks as needed and provides assistance to others when requested.
- Enters daily issues in computer systems.
- Picks up dirty equipment from the dirty utility room, cleans and bags patient equipment, and replaces equipment cart covers on carts.
- Under the guidance of the Central Supply Manager, adjusts priorities to accommodate the needs of other departments.
Requirements
- 7 months to 1 year of related experience.
