Qualifications

• Prefer basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation and all aspects of sterilization processes.
• Prefer six months to one year in a surgical or other related health care setting.
• Knowledge of the functions of decontamination and sterilization equipment preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Able to exchange information in a factual, objective manner.
• Able to be flexible with regard to task priorities and time schedules.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.
