About the role
As a Sterile Processing Technician at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by ensuring every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
- Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and resolve issues promptly to deliver safe, high-quality care.
- Prepare and organize instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Work closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.
Requirements
- High School Graduate / GED.
- Graduate from a Sterile Processing Technician school.
- Current Sterile Processing Technician Certification or agreement to obtain within 6 months of employment.
