Responsibilities

• Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing, and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly, and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous workflow, providing superior customer service.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Graduate of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program Required
• In lieu of certification, prior experience as a Central Service or Surgical Tech Required

Work Experience

• In lieu of degree, prior experience as a Central Service Tech OR Surgical Tech Required

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required
• CCST - Certified Central Service Technician (if no prior work experience) Upon Hire Required
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist (if no prior work experience) Upon Hire Required
