About the Role

We are seeking a Central Sterile Service Supervisor to support the 3:00pm - 11:00pm shift, Monday through Friday, with one weekend shift monthly for rounding on weekend staff. This position will promote growth and innovation within Central Sterile Service operations at Los Robles Regional Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Central Service Department, including staff supervision.
  • Implement policies and procedures and collaborate with peers and staff to achieve department goals.
  • Review the daily schedule in advance to ensure instrument needs, including Vendor Loaner Trays, are met.
  • Proactively manage and control assigned inventory levels to meet supply needs while minimizing on-hand inventories.
  • Monitor and assist Surgical Materials staff to ensure compliance with policy, procedure, and regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission.
  • Provide input for performance evaluations of assigned staff and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic high school education or its equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation and its usage.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and memory retention skills.
  • Flexibility and a full range of physical abilities.
  • Sensitivity, maturity, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with surgical supplies, case cart assembly, instrument assembly, and previous leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of related post-high school education and experience.
  • IAHCSMM Certification preferred or must be completed within the first twelve months of employment.

Pay

Hourly wage estimate: $32.66 - $45.72 per hour. The estimate represents the typical wage range for candidates hired. Factors such as specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role may determine your actual salary.

3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday through Friday, with one weekend shift monthly for rounding on weekend staff.
