Schedule

Days: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with on-call and weekend shifts as needed.

Pay

Pay range: $21.94 – $26.00 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the distribution of reusable supplies and equipment.
  • Ensures decontamination of supplies and equipment through cleaning and terminal sterilization according to pre-established guidelines.
  • Assists the supervisor in daily departmental activities, including the orientation of new associates.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates skills in communication and problem-solving.
  • Ensures effective workflow in the department.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision-making and prioritizing assignments.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with the Central Sterile Supply Department and all Thompson Health associates.
  • Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information, including patients, staff, and the health system.
  • Maintains status as a Certified Central Service Technician.
  • Demonstrates the CARES Values and Standards of Cooperation at all times.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current certification through IAHCSMM or equivalent required within 18 months of employment.
  • One to three years of experience as a Central Sterile Supply technician preferred (no experience required).
