Central Sterile Processing Tech, Per Diem

About the role

The Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Technician is responsible for performing various functions involved in the pick up, assembly, processing, storage, and distribution of various reprocess and disposable items and/or equipment. This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. This position reports to the Supervisor, Central Sterile Processing and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform various functions involved in the pick up, assembly, processing, storage, and distribution of various reprocess and disposable items and/or equipment.
• Operate within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Certified Central Processing Tech [CSP] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required.
• One (1) year CSP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Licenses and Credentials: Certified Central Processing Tech [CSP] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required.

Skills

• Basic computer skills preferred.
