About the role

We are looking for a Central Services Technician I (Cage Processing) to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in Dixon, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cleaning and maintenance of laboratory animal caging, equipment and cage preparation areas as well as cleaning of animal support areas under minimal supervision.
  • Provide quality assurance to the cagewash area.
  • Monitor and record results of cagewash water temperature and cleaning results using provided supplies such as temperature dots/strips, cultures.
  • Ensure that all logbooks, checklists, and other records are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Report any mechanical failures promptly and properly to the supervisor; and perform microbiological sampling in accordance with SOPs.
  • Perform all other duties as they pertain to the processing of cages.

Qualifications

  • A candidate that possesses a High School diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate verbally and/or in writing, problems requiring the attention of high-level personnel in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Rodent husbandry experience preferred.
  • ALAT certification preferred.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $21.94 USD per hour. Please note the range will depend on factors such as experience, skills, region, and certification.
