Position Overview
Contacts payers to request service authorization. Collects financial and/or demographic information from patients and clinical information from patient charts, orders, or providers.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience
- At least two years of experience in a healthcare pre-authorizations
- Familiarity with healthcare insurance processes
- Preferred: Associate degree in healthcare or business administration and/or related coursework
- Successful completion of courses in medical terminology and human anatomy
- Experience with EPIC information systems
