Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float pool, you will:
- Floating throughout the facility to various units including ICU, Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Behavioral Health
- Providing clinical and administrative support on the unit
- Creating and implementing a care plan for each patient
- Cooking coordination of unit activities and ensuring accountability of assigned tasks
- Instructing and educating patients and their families
- Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs
- Maintaining computerized documentation systems for patient conditions
- Serving as the primary coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care, including discharge planning
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or has a Compact license
- At least three years of acute care experience with proven competency in multiple specialties
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
