Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float pool, you will:

• Floating throughout the facility to various units including ICU, Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Behavioral Health
• Providing clinical and administrative support on the unit
• Creating and implementing a care plan for each patient
• Cooking coordination of unit activities and ensuring accountability of assigned tasks
• Instructing and educating patients and their families
• Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs
• Maintaining computerized documentation systems for patient conditions
• Serving as the primary coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care, including discharge planning

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or has a Compact license
• At least three years of acute care experience with proven competency in multiple specialties
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
