About the role
The Transit Market Sector Leader- Central Region is responsible for developing and executing transit and rail market strategies throughout the Central Region. This role involves market opportunity assessment, client management, technical and marketing team coordination, staff growth and development, program and project management, and improving technical competencies.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Project and Program Leadership: Provide leadership on multi-discipline projects and programs across the market sectors and geographic areas, including programmatic assistance of large capital programs, traditional project execution and delivery, and alternative delivery.
- Strategic Planning and Program Growth: Lead and drive program growth for the transit, intercity, and freight rail market sectors, support internal and external client relationships, recruit and staff development, and major pursuit coordination.
- Support Capture Planning Efforts: Assist in capturing planning efforts, pre-proposal visits, proposal preparation coordination with technical and marketing staff, presentations, and negotiations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation planning and/or engineering, with a majority of that experience within the market sector.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, planning, or a related field. If an engineer, maintain engineering registration.
- Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services.
- Experience in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits.
- Experience in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path and professional growth.
- Experience with industry associations and maintaining a visible profile in the market sector.
- Ability to work cooperatively with Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional Business Group Director, Area Business Group Managers, Area Marketing Managers, and Area Managers.
- Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and an attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

- Typical starting pay range for this position: Colorado will be $162,205 - $210,430 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
