Job Summary

A Sales Representative is responsible for stocking and selling products to new and existing retail customers, ordering assigned products to maximize sales, and merchandising, fronting, and selling products under detailed verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide good customer service.
• Organize, clean, and prepare the back area for incoming deliveries.
• Keep the sales floor uncluttered and free from spills.
• Stock and rotate items as needed.
• Reset products and maintain shelf conditions, ensuring the integrity of shelf tags and signage.
• Check shipments for out‑of‑date or damaged product to ensure freshness and quality.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation.
• Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control.
• Assist in merchandising the department to maximize sales.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 0–2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment used (preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation (essential).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Passion for food.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
• Materials handling equipment certification.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Must be able to manage loads in excess of 25 lb., up to 50 lb.
• Work environment includes typical retail conditions and may involve exposure to varying temperatures.
