Central Fill Pharmacist

About the role

Genoa Healthcare is a pharmacy care services company that is part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group's family of businesses. We partner with community-based providers and others to ensure that people with complex health conditions get the right medications and are able to follow their treatment plans. The Central Fill Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders within Genoa Healthcare's centralized pharmacy operations. This role supports high-volume processing while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and delivering exceptional service to patients and clinic partners.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescription accuracy and clinical appropriateness
• Oversee automated and manual dispensing in the central fill workflow
• Ensure timely and safe fulfillment of daily prescription volume
• Support compliance with state/federal regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with technicians to maintain efficient, high quality operations
• Assist with inventory control and controlled substance procedure

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Current pharmacist license in state of Rhode Island

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a LTC pharmacy setting
• Leadership experience and skills
• Familiarity with automation including Parata and SynMed

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.

Schedule

Pharmacy Location: 68 Cumberland St, Ste 102, Woonsocket, RI 02895. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:30am - 8:00pm.
