About the role
This is a full-time, non-civil service position in the Central Dispatch Unit. Work hours are generally 8-hour days (40 hours a week). Overtime may be required as needed. Shift work is required, including weekends and holidays. Travel is required (for training purposes, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency dispatch services to the public.
- Communicate effectively with callers and other emergency responders.
- Ensure accurate and timely transmission of information.
- Manage multiple calls simultaneously.
- Handle emergencies and critical incidents.
- Follow up on cases and maintain records.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Telecommunicator Professional Standards (TPS) certification from the State of Kentucky.

Qualifications
- Zero to less than 1 year of experience as a full-time CJIS certified Telecommunicator.

Pay
Competitive Salary based on years of experience (Pay Range from 3 to 10 years would be $51,671 to $57,149). Shift Differential Pay is eligible for annual step and COLA increases.
