About the Role

The Center Store Manager ensures customers’ needs are met and exceeded through effective day-to-day management of operations and merchandising for the Center Store Department. This role oversees product conditions, inventory, schematics, pricing, and back-room operations to optimize sales, profits, and customer satisfaction. The Center Store Manager provides leadership and direction to associates, fostering a culture aligned with Lucky’s mission and winning behaviors, while training and developing team members for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and merchandising for the Center Store Department.
• Oversee product conditions, inventory, schematics, pricing, and back-room operations.
• Lead and develop Center Store associates to promote a customer-focused culture.
• Train and mentor associates to support their success and career growth.
• Optimize department performance and productivity to enhance store results.
• Ensure compliance with store hazardous materials, food safety rules, and union contractual agreements.
• Apply knowledge of visual merchandising techniques and center store equipment.

Requirements

• Two-year college degree (or equivalent knowledge through education, training, or experience).
• Completion of Assistant Center Store Manager rotation, or two years of equivalent management experience, or current role as Bakery, Meat, or Produce Department Manager.
• Availability to work varied retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Forklift certification.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance.

Pay

Hiring pay range: $31.21 - $34.65 per hour.
