Center Store Lead

About the role

Lead daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring proper staffing, training, and adherence to company standards to meet organizational goals and key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, including ordering, markdown procedures, and product freshness
• Oversee receiving and storage
• Lead a team in stocking, production, and quality control
• Maintain product knowledge and sales promotions
• Execute weekly plans and manage scheduling, labor, and payroll
• Support department management in staffing, training, and performance development
• Ensure compliance with food safety, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Participate in meetings
• Perform cycle counts and monitor shelf conditions
• Support additional tasks as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 0-2 years retail experience preferred

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Leadership ability
• Knowledge of retail operations and systems
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Perform bending and twisting
• Work in varied temperatures and outdoor conditions
• Meet travel expectations
