Center Store Lead

Role Overview: Lead daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring staff training, staffing levels, and adherence to company standards to meet performance goals. Manage inventory by ordering, maintaining stock, executing markdown procedures, and ensuring product freshness and quality.Validate received shipments for quality, quantity, and condition; oversee proper storage.Supervise a team responsible for stocking, production, and quality control, including handling spoiled/damaged products.Maintain product knowledge and stay informed about store promotions, ad items, and sales features.Implement and communicate weekly flight plans, schedules, and company policies using appropriate tools and software.Support staffing, training, performance management, and associate development.Participate in meetings and ensure a clean, well-stocked, and attractive department environment.Ensure compliance with food safety, safety guidelines, and sanitation standards, taking corrective action when needed.Assist in developing goals and forecasts, monitor key performance indicators, and support the achievement of company objectives.Perform daily cycle counts, monitor date checking and shelf cleaning, and follow safety and guest experience guidelines.May assist in tasks across other departments based on customer needs and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED; 0-2 years retail experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are required. Bilingual ability in Spanish is highly desirable. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in varied environments.
