About the role

Grifols, a global healthcare company and leader in plasma‑derived medicines, is seeking a Center Medical Specialist to work in a plasma donation center. The specialist will perform physical examinations, establish medical histories, and ensure donor suitability while providing education and counseling to donors.

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas, USA

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and establish medical history to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.
• Provide donor education regarding general health and counsel on unacceptable test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Assess donor illness or medication histories to ensure continued suitability.
• Assist in employee training and administer the employee Hepatitis vaccine program.

Requirements

• Current education and certification/licensure in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Paramedic, or EMT (Basic or Advanced).
• Current CPR certification.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Work performed both standing and sitting for 2–4 hours per day; includes bending, twisting, frequent hand and foot movements, occasional squatting or crouching.
• Light lifting of up to 15 lb (maximum 50 lb); may need to reach below shoulder height.
• Hearing acuity essential; color perception and vision correctable to 20/30 (one eye) and 20/100 (other eye).
• Exposure to biological fluids, electrical equipment, and extreme cold (< 32 °F) in plasma freezers; personal protective equipment required.

Pay

Top‑dollar compensation; salary is based on licensure and experience and described as competitive.
