About the role
As the Center Director, you will serve as the operational lead for the center, ensuring both compliance and excellence among teaching staff. This position is responsible for utilizing management, monitoring, and instructional strategies to oversee the full implementation of Acelero Learning’s early learning system, policies, procedures, and tools. You will provide guidance and support to your team to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal licensing and standard regulations, with the goal of supporting all children to achieve School Readiness Goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full implementation of all aspects of Acelero Learning’s early learning system, policies, procedures, and tools.
- Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, local and state licensing regulations, and effective practices in health and safety.
- Provide ongoing coaching to teaching staff to support them in fulfilling all aspects of their roles, including effective teaching practices.
- Work with teachers to implement the program curriculum with fidelity and use the child assessment system reliably, including analyzing child outcomes data to plan and individualize instruction.
- Facilitate collaboration and coordination within the education team and across service areas, ensuring full parent involvement in the program.
- Participate in Head Start/Early Head Start community activities, including staff meetings, mandated trainings, committee and board meetings, and other program-wide functions, including some evening activities.
- Manage the complete and accurate implementation of all required systems for recordkeeping and reporting.
- Travel locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in a non-related field and at least 6 relevant courses may be considered.
- Minimum of 1 year of managerial/supervisory experience.
- Experience managing an infant/toddler or preschool program preferred.
- Experience with collaborations and community partnerships is a plus.
- Must pass a physical exam and background checks.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Pay
$68,000 annually.
