Cemetery Caretaker

Our Mission: Care. Comfort. Plan. Graceland Memorial Park South is looking for a Cemetery Caretaker to join our team in Miami, Fl where we offer a passionate and purpose-filled work environment. The Cemetery Caretaker is responsible for the overall appearance of cemetery, mausoleum, and funeral home locations, including maintenance and grounds keeping, locating grave sites, digging graves, installing crypt faces, memorials, monuments, conducting interments, entombments and inurnments, and repairs and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Grounds Keeping:Cuts grass.Maintains lawn and trims around trees, walkways, and memorial markersLays sodMoves and removes flowers to and from the chapel and graveside.Blows leaf and grassEdges with stick edgerClears debris and maintains drives and walkways in a safe condition.Cleans ponds and fountainsHand digs/trenching Facilities Cleaning:Maintains overall appearance and cleanliness of funeral homes and/or mausoleum facilities.Cleans and maintains the facility, performs minor repairs, painting, etc.Assists in loading and unloading caskets.Vehicle and golf cart washing/cleaning Qualifications Valid driver’s licenseHigh School Diploma or equivalent6 + months of experience in grounds keeping and/or maintenance Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability CoverageEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Graceland Memorial Park South has been a part of Miami's rich and diverse heritage since 1959, providing families with a peaceful place to honor, remember, and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
