Cellular Therapies Logistics Specialist

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. We are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services. With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused individual to join our team as a Cellular Therapies Logistics Specialist in Gainesville, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for managing data integrity and workflow related to the procurement, handling, storage, and shipment of cord blood and cellular therapy products.
Responsibilities
- Maintain spreadsheets and databases
- Generate reports and communications for both internal and external customers
- Oversee logistics for cellular therapy products used in research, including product inventory management
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license required; must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements
- Prior experience in data or inventory management in a laboratory, blood bank and/or research environment preferred
- May be expected to work various hours, which may include overtime and/or working weekends
Skills
- Proficient in MS Office and basic computer skills
- Strong comprehension of written, oral, and visual instructions
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Organized with strong record-keeping skills
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills

Pay
Starting salary range is $17.00 - $18.70 an hour.
