About the role

Responsibilities

  • Accurately document processing results, conditional issues, logs, product inventory, and erasure records in EPC’s Inventory Management Software.
  • Clean and prepare devices for sale or transfer.
  • Client consultation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware failures and software issues.
  • Explain technical issues simply and provide accurate repair quotes.
  • Replace broken or faulty screens, batteries, charge ports, cameras, etc.
  • Track replacement parts, log work orders, and maintain a clean workstation.
  • Handle equipment by packing, unpacking, wrapping, sorting, palletizing, and moving items throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks and carts.
  • Maintain strict adherence to data security, quality control, and compliance standards throughout all processing activities.
  • Travel in/out of state for special projects when required (optional).
  • Other duties as assigned by department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of smartphone and tablet hardware and software.
  • Experience performing small component disassembly and reassembly on electronic devices while maintaining care for sensitive hardware.
  • Proficient in the use of precision hand tools, heat pads, heat guns, spudgers, etc., commonly used in electronics repair and device processing.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently while maintaining a proactive and professional approach in a production environment.
  • Proficient typing skills and be able to perform constant data entry with accuracy.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Able to collaborate within a team environment, share information, and execute managed direction.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred

  • Apple or WISE Certification.
  • Micro soldering or advanced board-level repair.
