Main Tasks
- Proficiently operate major equipment on multiple lines or cells.
- Complete changeover of equipment.
- Service equipment involving general maintenance practices such as lubrication, cleaning, repair, or adjustments, and identify abnormal repairs for central maintenance correction.
- Educate other employees on equipment within the line, section, or cell after being certified through central maintenance training.
- Maintain production levels of assigned equipment within the line, section, or cell, resulting in satisfactory production and scrap levels set by management.
- Organize and complete scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM).
- Perform general part replacement and general rebuild capability.
- Essentially use shop equipment.
- Instruct and train changeover methods and Total Productive Maintenance.
- Modify and improve equipment independently.
- Diagnose and recommend rebuilds.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Support efforts to meet quality standards.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or equivalent, preferably with vocational education training in skilled trades or other related disciplines.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in machine setup and processing.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and general computer use.
- Must complete New Employee Orientation and Quality Systems Overview training, in addition to any training identified by department management.
- Works independently in day-to-day activities, responsible for initial planning and arranging own work and responsible for outcome and closure.
- Owns a rolling tool chest with appropriate tools.
- Has a good work record, including regular attendance at work.
- Preferred completion of a 2-year Tech School Training in Industrial Maintenance or 3 to 5 years of experience.
