Cell Operator
About the role
Join us in St. Petersburg, FL, where we're dedicated to improving patient lives through the delivery of injectable medicines. This role involves operating a One Piece Flow Machine, collecting product samples, and inspecting products for various defects.
Responsibilities
- Complete all pertinent documentation as required by SOIs and WIs.
- Perform sampling inspections and use measuring equipment per plant procedures.
- Fill hoppers, remove finished goods and in process, and place on skids or conveyor.
- Follow schedules and operate presses.
- Maintain SPC charts to ensure product is within specifications.
- Perform clean outs and line clearances.
- Remove finished goods from the production floor as needed.
- Provide paperwork/materials to assembly floor for “next order”.
- Obtain raw materials from the warehouse for new orders and place in appropriate machine areas.
- Remove trash and scrap from the assembly area and place in appropriate containers/receptacles.
- Scan labels on WIP and Finished Good product as required.
- Guide and coach new or less experienced operators and support personnel.
- Relieve operations through directed break schedules.
- Work with the Quality team to ensure accurate and timely batch record review and provide feedback.
- Adequately adhere to all company policies.
- Comply with all company safety and quality policies.
- Exhibit regular, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- No minimum work experience required.
- Able to distinguish colors and fine print.
- Able to distinguish defective parts.
- Able to lift 35 lb. box and move a distance of 10 yards.
- Manufacturing environment.
- Able to express and exchange ideas with employees.
- Able to build strong relationships with direct reports and peers.
Qualifications
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy.
- Able to comply with the company's safety policy at all times.
- Able to comply with the company's quality policy at all times.
- Able to exhibit an acute attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, including use of a mouse/keyboard.
- Able to apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- General use of computer workstation and ability to use SAP commands is preferred.
- Able to train and guide others as required.
- Able to read and write in English.

Shifts available include:
- 1st Shift - 5:20am - 1:30pm Monday-Friday
- 2nd Shift - 1:30pm - 9:30pm Monday-Friday
