About the role
We are seeking experienced machine operators to join our cell assembly areas. These technicians will be responsible for operating machines using programmable logic controls, utilizing a range of calibrated tools, and contributing to the creation of battery cells for the space, defense, and racing industries.
Responsibilities
- Operate machines using programmable logic controls
- Utilize a range of calibrated tools
- Create battery cells for the space, defense, and racing industries
- Work one of three shifts - first, second, or third
- Stand for most of each day
- Work in an environment where strong magnets and chemicals are present
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work in a dry room with cooled and low humidity air
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition
- Follow instructions per process specs while manufacturing materials for use in high power cells and batteries
- Operate winding, welding, punching, and stacking equipment
- Inspect machine outputs using precision measurement tools
- Diagnose and correct issues that may occur during machine operation
- Communicate clearly and accurately to describe in detail any machine or product issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional schooling or training in a technical field is preferred
- 3 - 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably running machinery
- Basic computer skills with proficiency in Excel and database usage
- Comprehend written instructions and document work performed
- Organizational skills and ability to maintain an organized workstation
- Proven experience running complex machinery and producing high-quality products
- Possess a keen eye for detail and notice small variances in processes and materials
- Communicate clearly and accurately to describe in detail any machine or product issues
- Problem-solving skills to diagnose and correct issues during machine operation
- Willingness to learn and become proficient in operating additional complex machinery
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work overtime as schedules occasionally require
- Ability to work in an environment where strong magnets and chemicals are present
- Ability to work in a dry room with cooled and low humidity air
- Ability to work in an environment where safety policies and procedures must be adhered to
- Ability to follow instructions per process specs while manufacturing materials for use in high power cells and batteries
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately to describe in detail any machine or product issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

USD $20.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.
