CE Instructor-Technology Instructor (Career Training)

About the role

Harper College Community Education seeks a Part-Time Technology instructor to facilitate classes and design curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classes including Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows 11, Tableau, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology Career Exploration, and Computer Skills for Beginners.
• Design curriculum that is accessible and engaging for adult learners with varying levels of experience.
• Teach daytime, evening, and weekend classes, either live online and/or in-person at Harper College Main Campus (Palatine) or Harper College Learning and Career Center (Prospect Heights).
• Ensure courses meet enrollment requirements to run.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technology and the ability to effectively teach adult learners with varying levels of experience using innovative and engaging strategies.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience teaching technology-related subjects to adult learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Windows 11 and Tableau.
• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence concepts.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging curriculum.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
