- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Commercial Vehicle Drivers must have the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
- Knowledge of: DOT regulations; Hazmat guidelines; Safe lifting and delivery practices.
- Skills in: driving over long distances, over a variety of terrains and in varying weather conditions, communicating with customers; solving problems; delivering product.
- Knowledgeable about physical demands such as sitting, talking, hearing, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 350 pounds, reaching, bending, twisting, stacking and unstacking pallets and hand carts, reading, writing, communicating in English, performing basic math functions, planning and organizing work activities independently of direct supervision, solving problems, driving a tractor-trailer unit both in the day and at night in a variety of traffic and weather conditions, meeting or exceeding minimum productivity levels established by the Company, handling hazardous materials and food and restaurant items that are frozen, dry and refrigerated, operating a 3 axle tractor, 45' - 48' trailer, straight truck, on board computer, key pad and a 2 wheel hand cart, reading, writing and communicating in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations, performing basic math functions (e.g. add, subtract, multiply, divide), effectively planning and organizing work activities independent of direct supervision, solving problems.
