CDL Travel Instructor (63005)

About the role

SAGE provides comprehensive CDL training courses, including basic, advanced, and specialized tractor-trailer training for entry level students and corporate customers. This includes instructor travel assignments to train corporate customers at their facilities.

Responsibilities

• Train corporate customers at their facilities
• Travel costs are covered, including flights, rental car, hotel, and per diem, as necessary
• Varying assignments of 3-4 weeks at a time

Requirements

• Two (2) years of practical trucking related experience in the last 5 years that demonstrates instructional competency
• Valid Class A CDL license and a safe CDL A driving record as determined by the SAGE Safety Department
• Ability to travel for assignments for up to 3-4 weeks at one time

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of safe truck driving and all of the laws and regulations covering tractor-trailer interstate operations
• Capable of demonstrating the SAGE curriculum subject matter and skills for the students
• Show an attitude that is favorable toward performance, assessed according to standards of professionalism, respect, motivation, maturity, and safety
