About the role
SAGE provides comprehensive CDL training courses, including basic, advanced, and specialized tractor-trailer training for entry level students and corporate customers. This includes instructor travel assignments to train corporate customers at their facilities.
Responsibilities
- Train corporate customers at their facilities
- Travel costs are covered, including flights, rental car, hotel, and per diem, as necessary
- Varying assignments of 3-4 weeks at a time
Requirements
- Two (2) years of practical trucking related experience in the last 5 years that demonstrates instructional competency
- Valid Class A CDL license and a safe CDL A driving record as determined by the SAGE Safety Department
- Ability to travel for assignments for up to 3-4 weeks at one time
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of safe truck driving and all of the laws and regulations covering tractor-trailer interstate operations
- Capable of demonstrating the SAGE curriculum subject matter and skills for the students
- Show an attitude that is favorable toward performance, assessed according to standards of professionalism, respect, motivation, maturity, and safety

- Provide guidance on performing maneuvers on a skills driving range and in the truck on roads
