CDL Swing Driver

About the Role

We aren't looking for just any driver; we are looking for a versatile waste industry professional. As a Swing Driver, you are the "utility player" of our fleet. You don't just stick to one route or one truck type. Your ability to jump between Front-End, Roll-Off, and Residential units makes you one of the most valuable assets on our team. What You’ll Do

• Master the Fleet: Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including Front-End loaders, Roll-Offs, and Residential trucks (manual and automatic).
• Expert Navigation: Step in and execute various routes seamlessly, ensuring our customers receive consistent, high-quality service even when their regular driver is away.
• Site Safety Leadership: Perform rigorous pre- and post-trip inspections. You know these trucks better than anyone—you’ll identify mechanical issues early and communicate them clearly to the shop.
• Operational Excellence: Manage helpers (where applicable) and maintain professional interactions with customers at landfills, MRFs, and transfer stations.
• Mentorship: Use your deep industry knowledge to help train newer drivers and provide feedback on route observations to improve efficiency.

What You Bring To The Table

• The CDL "Toolbox": A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Line of Business (LOB) Versatility: At least 1 year of commercial driving experience (preferably in multiple waste sectors like Front-End or Roll-Off).
• Technical Skill: The ability to maneuver large equipment into tight spots and back distances of 120+ feet using mirrors alone.
• Waste IQ: You can spot "unacceptable waste" (hazmat/flammables) from a mile away and know how to handle it according to company policy.
• Physical Stamina: Ready to be in and out of the cab, lifting up to 50 lbs repetitively, and working in all-weather conditions.
