CDL Skilled Laborer/Groundman

Responsibilities

• Perform manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites using hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks.
• Work on outdoor utility construction sites.
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day.
• Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field.
• Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Safety is a part of your day‑to‑day routine.
• Track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a hands‑on approach.
• Interest in long‑term projects and getting your hands dirty with a team.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card (CDL preferred; applicants subject to MVR review and must meet company standards for a safe driving record).
• Desire to learn the telecom construction trade (e.g., coax splicing, fiber splicing, directional drilling) to advance your career.
• Commitment to making an impact in the local community while enjoying daily home life.
• Relevant MOS codes (e.g., 12K, 12N, 12V, 12W, 21E, 21J, 25P, 91C, 91L, 11B, 1100, 1120, 1316, 9970‑9975, 0612, 2T3XX, 2E1XX, 3E2XX, 3E3XX, 9T0XX, BU, UT) relate well to this position.

Pay

Compensation of $28‑$34 per hour, depending on experience.
