CDL Senior Driver
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck or designated vehicle to transport goods over long distances.
- Load and unload cargo as needed, using proper handling methods and equipment.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured according to safety requirements and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations; maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Promptly report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver preferred.
- Ability to operate and drive a variety of trucks and trailers.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina for long-distance driving.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and professional interaction with customers and coworkers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
