CDL Route Driver

Responsibilities

We are looking for a CDL Route Driver to join our team in Columbia, SC. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Safely transporting, loading, and unloading compressed gas cylinders between locations.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation and conducting vehicle safety inspections.
• Professionally managing associate and customer relations.
• Operating warehouse equipment like forklifts.
• Strictly adhering to all hazardous material safety protocols.
• Collecting empty cylinders from customers and addressing inquiries to ensure complete satisfaction.
• Handling the loading and unloading of all materials.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Class B CDL with a Hazmat endorsement or be able to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
• Pass Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Checks.
• Pass DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers.
• Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
• Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace.
• Adhere to safety regulations and policies.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience.
• Touch freight delivery experience.
