CDL Route Driver

Responsibilities

We are looking for a CDL Route Driver to join our team in Salisbury, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Safely transporting, loading, and unloading compressed gas cylinders between locations.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation and conducting vehicle safety inspections.
• Professionally managing associate and customer relations.
• Operating warehouse equipment like forklifts.
• Strictly adhering to all hazardous material safety protocols.
• Collecting empty cylinders from customers and addressing inquiries.
• Handling the loading and unloading of all materials.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement or able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
• Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
• DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
• Ability to lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.
• Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace.
• Adherence to safety regulations and policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience.
• Touch freight delivery experience.
