About the role

As the face of GFL in Elizabeth City, you’ll operate our roll-off trucks to collect and transport waste safely. This is a local role where you’ll navigate customer sites, represent Team Green professionally, and contribute to a cleaner community.

Responsibilities

• Navigate local routes and customer sites with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle readiness.
• Represent GFL with professionalism while interacting with customers and the community.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards to ensure public and personal safety.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with at least one year of commercial driving experience (or a CDL school certificate).
• Comfort maneuvering large vehicles in tight or high-traffic local areas.
• Commitment to working outdoors and maintaining safety-sensitive professionalism.
• Physical capability to handle waste management tasks, including lifting and frequent cab entry/exit.
