CDL Lowboy Driver – Heavy Equipment Hauling
Key Responsibilities
- Transport heavy construction equipment to and from job sites using a lowboy trailer
- Load and unload equipment independently and safely
- Haul equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers, and similar machinery
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer
- Secure loads properly in accordance with DOT requirements
- Maintain logbooks and required DOT documentation
- Clock deliveries with project teams and supervisors
- Follow all company safety policies and jobsite requirements
- Keep truck and trailer clean and well maintained
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Experience hauling heavy construction equipment with a lowboy trailer required
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading
- Knowledge of proper tie-down procedures and load securement
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and logbook requirements
- Ability to work outdoors and around active construction sites
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
